Golf Course Management Foundations
Months 1–6
Learners build advanced knowledge of health and safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance. They develop a strong understanding of turfgrass science, soil health, and plant nutrition, forming the technical foundation required to manage course performance.
Sustainability, Water and Course Control Practices
Months 7–12
This phase focuses on irrigation, drainage, and sustainable course management. Apprentices learn how to manage water effectively, control pests and diseases, and maintain high-quality playing surfaces while meeting environmental standards.
Operational Support, Machinery and Team Leadership
Months 13–18
Learners develop skills in managing machinery, equipment, and data systems. They also begin leading teams, supporting staff development, and managing performance, communication, and day-to-day course operations.
Key Strategic Leadership and EPA Readiness
Months 19–24
In the final stage, apprentices focus on strategic planning, budgeting, and developing the Golf Course Policy. They prepare for the End Point Assessment through real-world application, presentations, and professional discussions, ready to step into a Golf Course Manager role.
