 Our Commitment to Employers

Helping golf clubs develop skilled Golf Course Managers who can lead teams, control costs, and deliver high-quality, sustainable playing surfaces.

Addressing the Leadership Gap

Many golf clubs face challenges in developing experienced leaders within their greenkeeping teams.

This programme supports the progression of existing staff into management roles, building the leadership, decision-making, and operational oversight required to manage teams and course performance effectively.

Maintaining Consistent Standards

Delivering high-quality playing surfaces year-round requires strong planning and technical expertise.

Apprentices develop the skills to plan maintenance programmes, monitor course performance, and adapt to seasonal and environmental challenges, ensuring consistent standards across the course.

Controlling Costs and Resources

Managing budgets, machinery, and resources is critical to the long-term sustainability of golf facilities.

This programme equips learners with the ability to manage maintenance budgets, optimise resource allocation, and make informed decisions that improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.

Building a Sustainable Future Workforce

An ageing workforce and skills shortages are ongoing challenges across the sector.

By developing talent internally, clubs create a pipeline of skilled Golf Course Managers who understand their course, culture, and long-term objectives, supporting succession planning and business continuity.
