  • Months 4–6: Safeguarding and Risk Management

In this phase, learners will focus on Safeguarding and Risk Management, learning to develop and implement safeguarding policies and manage risks effectively. Simultaneously, they will champion equality, diversity, and inclusion through the Promoting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion module.

  • Months 7–9: Child Development and Well-being

The focus during these months will be on Supporting Child and Young Person Development, understanding development stages, and promoting positive outcomes. In parallel, learners will work on Health and Well-being in Children and Families Services, developing strategies to support the well-being and resilience of children, young people, and their families.

  • Months 10–12: Advanced Practice and Research

As learners progress, they will engage in Research and Policy Development, conducting research projects and developing evidence-based policies. They will also enhance their strategies for improving practice and promoting positive outcomes through the Advanced Practice in Promoting Positive Outcomes module.

  • Months 13–15: Ethical Practice and Final Preparations

In the final phase of on-programme learning, learners will tackle ethical dilemmas and develop decision-making frameworks in Ethical Practice and Decision Making. Simultaneously, they will prepare for the End-Point Assessment (EPA) with End-Point Assessment Preparation, focusing on reviewing all learning, assembling portfolios, and practicing for the Competence Interview and Situational Judgement Test.

  • Months 16–18: End-Point Assessment (EPA)

The final three months are dedicated to the End-Point Assessment (EPA), which includes a Competence Interview informed by Portfolio and a Situational Judgement Test.
