  • Months 1-4: Introduction and Core Competencies

    Start with an overview of Facilities Management and the essential competencies required in the role. Apprentices will gain the foundational knowledge needed to understand the principles of property management, operations, and strategic planning.

  • Months 5-8: People and Support Services

    Focus on understanding People Management and Facilities Support Services. Apprentices will explore topics such as workforce management, team leadership, and the delivery of key support services to optimise operational performance.

  • Months 9-12: Health and Safety Management

    Focus on ensuring health and safety within facilities. Apprentices will learn how to manage compliance with health and safety regulations and implement systems that create a safe working environment for all.

  • Months 13-16: Financial and Customer Management

    Develop skills in managing financial aspects and customer relationships in facilities management. Apprentices will cover budget management, financial reporting, and customer service strategies, ensuring effective cost control and high-quality service delivery.

  • Months 17-18: Sustainability and Environmental Management

    Engage in the management of sustainability and environmental issues within facilities management. Apprentices will learn to implement strategies that reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable business practices.

  • Months 19-22: End-Point Assessment (EPA)

    Prepare for the EPA, including the completion of a Project Portfolio and a Professional Discussion. Apprentices will demonstrate their skills and knowledge gained throughout the programme, and apply these in real-life scenarios, ensuring they meet the required standards to pass the EPA.
