Learning Journey

  • Months 1-3: Establishing Core Competencies

In the first three months, apprentices will build on foundational knowledge, focusing on supporting hard and soft FM functions, health and safety compliance, and ensuring on-site safety through active collaboration with stakeholders. These essential skills set the stage for effective facilities management.

  • Months 4–6: Developing Leadership and Sustainability

During the next three months, apprentices will enhance their abilities in managing team performance, supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives, and building strong customer relationships to meet KPIs and SLAs. This phase is crucial for nurturing leadership and customer service skills.

  • Months 7-9: Enhancing Service Delivery and Problem-Solving

Apprentices will then refine their capabilities in delivering daily FM services, resolving customer issues, and preventing service disruptions through effective problem-solving. This period focuses on ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Months 10–12: Mastering Financial and Operational Excellence

In the final training phase, apprentices will concentrate on managing budgets, ensuring compliance with governance standards, and driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and policies. These skills are vital for strategic and financial oversight in facilities management.

  • Month 13-15: End-Point Assessment (EPA)

The journey concludes with the EPA, consisting of a project presentation and a professional discussion based on the apprentice's portfolio of evidence. This final assessment will demonstrate their comprehensive knowledge and skills, preparing them for a successful career as a Facilities Management Supervisor.
