  • Induction and Foundation (Month 1-3)

    In the first three months, apprentices will gain a solid understanding of business administration fundamentals. They will learn about organisational purpose, structure, policies, and procedures, gaining context for how businesses operate. Alongside this, they will develop essential IT skills, mastering software like MS Office Suite and database management tools, crucial for effective administration.

  • Core Skills Development (Month 4-6)

    Between months four and six, the focus is on enhancing key skills. Apprentices will improve their communication and interpersonal abilities, learning to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders through various communication channels. They will also delve into record and document production, emphasising accuracy, confidentiality, and document management, ensuring they can handle administrative tasks proficiently.

  • Advanced Knowledge and Skills (Month 7-9)

    From the seventh to ninth months, apprentices will deepen their knowledge of business fundamentals and financial processes. They will learn principles of managing change, business finances, and project management through simulations and interactive sessions. This period will also see apprentices developing their project management skills, preparing them to lead and manage small projects effectively.

  • Specialised Skills and EPA Preparation (Month 10-12)

    In the final three months of on-programme learning, apprentices will focus on quality and process improvement. They will explore techniques for maintaining high standards and implementing process improvements within their organisations. Significant emphasis will be placed on preparing for the End Point Assessment (EPA), including compiling portfolios, engaging in reflective practice, and training for interviews and presentations.

  • End Point Assessment (EPA) Preparation and Completion (Month 13–15)

    The last three months have been dedicated to the End Point Assessment (EPA). Apprentices will finalise their portfolios, complete a knowledge test, participate in portfolio-based interviews, and deliver a project presentation. Regular 1-to-1 sessions with employers and training providers will provide essential support and feedback, ensuring apprentices are fully prepared to demonstrate their competencies and successfully complete the EPA. By the end of the apprenticeship, learners will be well-equipped to excel in various administrative roles and make significant contributions to their organisations
